About The Position

AIT Worldwide Logistics is expanding its Final Mile Service Provider Network and seeking reliable independent contractors and teams to support customer demand in the Roanoke, Virginia area. Contractors can choose jobs that fit their schedules, equipment, and capabilities. The posting states potential annual earnings of $40,000–$100,000+, based on location and work accepted, with weekly settlements.

Available services include delivery and assembly by a two-person team, assembly-only work by a two-person team, and one-person in-home repairs using manufacturer-provided parts. Delivery and assembly work requires an appropriate vehicle and team setup; larger product deliveries typically require a van, Sprinter, or 16–26-foot box truck. Sedans and SUVs are limited to assembly-only and repair work. Contractors provide and maintain their own required tools and vehicles, and must meet AIT insurance, registration, compliance, and screening requirements.

Requirements

• Experience delivering, assembling, or repairing products in a customer-facing environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfort using mobile apps to manage and complete jobs.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a two-person team, except repair work is performed by one person.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Physical capability to lift, deliver, and assemble products.
• Must provide and maintain required tools and vehicle(s).
• Employer Identification Number (EIN) required.
• Must meet AIT insurance, registration, and compliance requirements.
• DOT/MC authority required for some work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Certificate of Insurance (COI) meeting AIT standards.
• Owners, drivers, and helpers must pass background checks and drug screens.
• A two-person team is required for most delivery and assembly work.
• A van, Sprinter, or 16–26-foot box truck is typically required for larger product deliveries; sedans and SUVs are limited to assembly-only and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Pick up, deliver, and install products to manufacturer specifications as part of a two-person team.
• Assemble products at customers’ homes as part of a two-person team.
• Complete in-home repairs using manufacturer-provided parts.
• Safely handle and assemble large items such as basketball hoops, fitness equipment, furniture, home goods, playsets, pergolas, and grills.
• Use mobile apps to manage and complete jobs.
• Provide customer-facing service and communicate effectively with customers.
