About The Position

The Final Assembly Technician performs hands-on assembly, integration, and completion of electromechanical products in accordance with engineering documentation, manufacturing instructions, and quality standards. This role ensures that all components are correctly installed, tested, and verified before release to inspection or shipment. The technician will work closely with manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve issues, provide feedback, and maintain efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience with standard hand tools and basic measurement devices.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IR Systems, Focal Plane Assembly packaging processes
  • Understanding of FOD and FOD-prevention methods
  • Understanding ESD protocols
  • Experience working in a very fast paced environment, must be willing to adapt to several tasks daily

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, align, bond, and integrate mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Perform basic functional tests, verification checks, and documentation of assembly results.
  • Maintain work area cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Factory protocols.
  • Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and all company quality policies.
  • Work within designated takt times and production schedules to meet customer demand.
  • Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to improve processes, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
  • Create different types of harnesses while working off schematics.
  • Work in a team environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Read engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and Bills of Materials.
  • Good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to follow standardized procedures.
