Final Assembly Lead
About The Position
This role involves leading final product assembly activities, ensuring adherence to work instructions and quality standards. The Final Assembly Lead will also be responsible for building shipping pallets, crating products, and preparing finished goods for shipment. Key duties include cleaning, inspecting, packaging, and staging products for customer delivery, as well as verifying that completed work meets quality and customer specifications. Accurate and timely completion of production, inspection, and shipping documentation is essential. The position also requires monitoring daily operations to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and production standards, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and promptly reporting safety concerns, incidents, near misses, and equipment issues. Participation in safety meetings and training, along with ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), are also critical. The role requires collaboration with production, shipping, quality, and other departments to meet company objectives and assisting other departments as needed to support workflow and customer commitments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to read and accurately use measuring tools in both metric and imperial systems.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following established procedures.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to operate company vehicles as needed.
- Ability to wear required PPE and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling.
- Regular lifting of materials up to 35 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maneuver materials and equipment throughout the workday.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in final assembly, manufacturing, shipping, or production leadership roles.
- Experience reading CAD or Autodesk Inventor drawings.
- Forklift certification or material-handling experience.
Responsibilities
- Coach, train, and provide technical assistance to Final Assembly and Shipping team members.
- Serve as a resource for employees by sharing best practices and troubleshooting production issues.

- Communicate production priorities and support execution of daily work assignments directed by production leadership.
