About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Production Lead, the Filler Operator ensures machines operate at full capacity while producing quality product. The operator maintains equipment, performs periodic checks on output, visually inspects production runs, documents results, identifies and reports malfunctions, and keeps equipment and the assigned area clean.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing operator experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities using basic math skills and audit paperwork.
• Ability to adapt effectively to change.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
• Set up, start up, operate, close, and change over equipment on the line.
• Ensure product quality requirements are met throughout the process.
• Perform checks and inspections to verify quality.
• Make adjustments as necessary.
• Set up machines in accordance with applicable procedures and setup sheets.
• Accurately complete and maintain production records.
• Report problems to the department lead.
• Maintain adequate housekeeping during the shift and create an organized layout for personnel.
• Review and ensure appropriate adherence to quality and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by the lead.
