About The Position

This role involves supporting the filament winding process, ensuring machines are set up, maintained, and operated efficiently. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities include machine operation, material handling, basic maintenance, and collaboration with other departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No experience required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read and speak English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic knowledge of measuring devices, including calipers, OD micrometers, tape measure, and ruler.
  • Must be able to lift 45lbs.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE.
  • Must be able to stand for 10-12 hrs per shift.
  • Must be able to work in both hot and cold conditions.
  • Must be able to work around different types of resins and composite materials.
  • Must be able to work around chemicals and solvents such as acetone, releasing agents and various cleaning supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload filament winder machine.
  • Retrieve appropriate tooling for the job.
  • Select and verify filament winder program based on the job.
  • Set up machines.
  • Clean machines.
  • String machines.
  • Complete paperwork as necessary.
  • Remove and replace temporary flooring at workstation.
  • Sweep and Mop floors as required.
  • Labor in/out using data collect.
  • Maintain 5S standards.
  • Move completed parts to staging area.
  • Perform necessary preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Work closely with other departments to determine priorities.
  • Use of overhead crane.
  • Follow all work procedures for the area.
  • Comply with all safety and company policies.
