The Fielding and Training Support Specialist serves as the primary interface between fleet units and ISEA staff for equipment-support quotes, requirements, and routine yearly coordination. The specialist receives and triages fleet inquiries, determines which staff members should be involved, and coordinates resolution. The role aims to reduce response times by resolving routine issues at the lowest appropriate level and tracking recurring fleet trends. It also provides training on life-support and non-life-support equipment within the individual’s qualifications and approved technical documentation. The specialist supports fleet procurement and sustainment requirements by coordinating with ISEAs, depot staff, logisticians, vendors, engineers, program-office staff, and other stakeholders. The work includes preparing estimates and quote packages, tracking requests, advising fleet units on support and maintenance processes, and conducting site visits to assess equipment, readiness, and training needs. The position delivers approved hands-on and classroom instruction, documents engagements and findings, analyzes trends, and contributes reports and briefings for program-office and resource-sponsor leadership. Travel to fleet locations, maintenance facilities, and training sites may be required up to 25% of the time.
