About The Position

The Fielding and Training Support Specialist serves as a primary interface between fleet units and ISEA staff for equipment-support quotes, requirements, and annual coordination. The specialist receives and triages fleet inquiries, identifies the appropriate staff to involve, and helps resolve requests. The role reduces response times by resolving routine issues at the appropriate level and tracking recurring fleet trends. It also provides instruction on life-support and non-life-support equipment within the individual's qualifications and approved technical documentation. The specialist supports fleet requirements from initial request through response or referral, including estimates, quotes, procurement, equipment sustainment, and parts requests. The role coordinates with depot personnel, logisticians, vendors, engineers, program-office staff, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing, availability, lead times, maintenance, and technical information. It also supports fleet units with equipment-support processes, maintenance pathways, repair options, supply requirements, and training resources. The position includes travel to fleet units and support sites to discuss requirements, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and maintenance; assess equipment condition, maintenance practices, training needs, readiness concerns, and sustainment issues; and provide hands-on or classroom instruction. The specialist documents engagement and training results, analyzes inquiry and travel data for trends and improvement opportunities, and supports briefs, reports, status updates, and read-ahead materials for program-office and resource-sponsor leadership. Travel to fleet locations, maintenance facilities, and training sites may be required up to 25% of the time.
