About The Position

This role is responsible for the training and onboarding of all new security officers. The Field Training Officer will provide hands-on training to ensure new officers understand site policies, procedures, post orders, and expectations. This position serves as a liaison between officers and supervisors, helping address questions, concerns, and operational issues. The Field Training Officer acts as a subject matter expert on security operations and procedures across all shifts, conducts on-the-job training, and provides coaching to officers to improve performance and ensure compliance. They evaluate new officers’ performance, provide feedback to supervisors regarding training progress and readiness, and assist supervisors with identifying training needs and developing additional training when necessary. The goal is to ensure officers are properly prepared to perform their assigned duties and respond effectively to incidents, while maintaining consistent training standards across all shifts and posts and reinforcing company, client, and property policies and procedures through ongoing coaching and instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Control entrances and manage traffic
  • Patrol buildings and surrounding areas
  • Escort personnel and materials
  • Conduct inspections of security and fire exposures
  • Complete Daily Activity and Incident Reports
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies
  • Communicate daily with supervisors
