The IRC is seeking a Training Officer for Switchboard, a project that provides training and capacity-building services to service providers in the United States, including resettlement agencies and affiliates, state agencies, ethnic community-based organizations, and others. The Training Officer will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of capacity-building initiatives related to newcomer and refugee services. This role includes providing training and technical assistance to service providers to support them in addressing the general resettlement and case management needs of refugees and newcomers. This role requires prior direct service experience working with clients, subject matter experts, and/or partners to develop culturally responsive service plans to address individual and family client needs utilizing a broad range of approaches, including client-centered, strength-focused, and trauma-informed to meet the social, safety and stability of newcomers. This staff will be responsible for producing and maintaining high-quality performance by collaborating with experts, designing effective resources, and facilitating learning experiences that contribute to improving outcomes for children, adults, and families.
