About The Position

In addition to Security Officer responsibilities, Field Training Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring training for newly hired Security Team Members and ongoing training for existing Security Team Members.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the security policies and procedures of Graton Resort & Casino.
  • Possess proficient computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be able to obtain a Basic Life Support Certification once hired (Company will provide the training).
  • Be able to complete the Guest Intoxication Awareness training yearly.
  • Completed Graton Resort and Casino's Security Academy.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years' experience in casino security.

Responsibilities

  • Redefine hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting company values.
  • Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Patrol and observe all public areas, Team Member service areas, and company grounds for the safety of Guests and Team Members.
  • Respond to all disturbances and be prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation if necessary.
  • Observe, report, and respond to all suspicious and unusual situations in accordance with department and company policy.
  • Enforce all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Detect and address actions and hazards that may result in liability for the company.
  • Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
  • Perform all evacuation procedures for the property.
  • Respond to all non-routine incidents in a supportive capacity, ensuring appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
  • Transport and protect company funds and assets.
  • Conduct follow-up investigations on reports as directed.
  • Complete incident reports as directed by Security Management.
  • Assist in the lost and found process including receiving, logging, storing, and returning lost items.
  • Facilitate and assist Guests with the Self-Restriction process as requested.
  • Assume Dispatch role, assigning Security personnel on shift to designated tasks, ensure communication flows, and log information.
  • Maintain a daily log of activities and incidents involving Security.
  • Assist Security Management in planning and scheduling security activities for the department.
  • Mentor Security personnel and provide remedial training as needed.
  • Create and maintain training-related paperwork.
  • Train, inspect, and evaluate Security Officers for alertness, appearance, and proper performance while on duty and correct deficiencies.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information related to company and security operations.
  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized and positive work atmosphere.
  • Maintain grooming and uniform standards.
  • Inspect and maintain all company-issued equipment.
  • Have knowledge of SDS booklet location for assigned area and familiarization.
  • May assume the role of Security Officer.
  • Organize work area, including Security Dispatch Office, Security Podium, Security Administration Office, Bike Cage, and Security vehicles, keeping those work areas clean.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned by management, including reconciliation of lost and found items, assignment/reassignment/clearing of Team Member lockers, stocking/checking inventory, transportation of company bicycles and vehicles for maintenance, transportation of reconciled lost and found items, and transportation of Team Members to designated health care providers for work-related injuries.
