About The Position

This is a part-time temporary position for Level 1 and Level 2 Desktop Technicians. The primary initiative is desktop setup for various buildings in New York and Jersey City. The role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop equipment and software. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot desktop and workstation equipment and software, including telephones, desktop/laptop computers (Microsoft and Apple) and printers.
  • Handle equipment installation and moves with little or no supervision.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve basic troubleshooting items, deferring more complex hardware issues to a supervisor or Level 1 tech.
  • Work well under supervision.
  • Install all equipment staged by the Level 1 Team.
  • Document installed equipment and any errors encountered within the provided SmartSheets link.
  • Distribute and stage each desk with the necessary equipment.
  • Set up standard desks with two monitors, VDI, camera, and peripherals.
  • Set up additional equipment for trader desks.
  • Document staged equipment and desk locations within the provided SmartSheets link.
