About The Position

The Field Technician installs, aligns, maintains, and repairs Flock’s camera, solar, battery, and related infrastructure at public and private sites. The work includes both new deployments and ongoing fleet maintenance, performed outdoors in varied weather and across rooftops, ladders, and bucket trucks. The role requires regular fieldwork, travel within the region, safe operation of field vehicles and equipment, and use of a mobile application to document work and manage inventory.

Requirements

Practical experience in low-voltage wiring, electrical assembly, construction, or technical field service.
Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and work independently outdoors across changing daily routes.
Ability to safely drive service vans and trucks and tow small equipment trailers on public and private roadways.
Comfort using mobile applications and basic digital tools to log service records, submit site photos, and track inventory.
Valid driver's license.
Comfort working at heights up to 30 feet and using power and hand tools.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain camera systems, solar panels, batteries, and mounting poles.
Conduct site surveys with public safety partners and property owners to confirm traffic control plans and permit compliance.
Prepare sites by digging post holes, installing mounting hardware, and aligning LPR and PTZ cameras.
Diagnose and repair field hardware and software connections, and address minor disruptions to private underground wiring or irrigation.
Document installations, inventory, and service records through a mobile field application, and manage local equipment shipments.
Operate ladders, bucket trucks, lifts, field vehicles, and support trailers safely while following environmental and workplace safety protocols.
Travel within the region and work in the field Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday work for travel or project completion.
