About The Position

HiFyve is hiring a Field Technician in Raleigh, North Carolina. This full-time role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains construction and earthmoving equipment at customer job sites and in the field. It suits an experienced technician who can independently troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical issues. The technician develops repair plans, orders parts, documents work, and ensures equipment is returned to service safely and efficiently. Salary is $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
An associate degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently in field service environments.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience repairing construction or heavy equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment and component systems in the field.
Develop repair plans, including work sequence, required tooling, and parts.
Perform mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical repairs on equipment.
Conduct quality assurance testing after repairs to ensure proper operation.
Complete daily service reports, parts orders, and work orders accurately and on time.
Communicate repair progress and equipment status to supervisors and customers.
Retrieve and return parts and materials using internal parts ordering systems.
Maintain and properly use the company service truck, tools, and fuel card.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Keep the service vehicle and work area clean and organized.
Perform additional service tasks and support assignments as needed.
