About The Position

HiFyve is hiring a Field Technician in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains construction and earthmoving equipment at customer job sites and in the field. This role involves independently troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical issues; developing repair plans; ordering parts; documenting work; and ensuring equipment is safely and efficiently returned to service. Technician level classification is based on experience and competency.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Associate degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or four years of apprenticeship experience.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently in field service environments.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience repairing construction or heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment and component systems in the field.
Develop repair plans that include the sequence of work, required tooling, and parts.
Perform mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical repairs on equipment.
Conduct quality assurance testing after repairs to ensure proper operation.
Complete daily service reports, parts orders, and work orders accurately and on time.
Communicate repair progress and equipment status to supervisors and customers.
Retrieve and return parts and materials using internal parts ordering systems.
Maintain and properly use the company service truck, tools, and fuel card.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and work area.
Perform additional service tasks and support assignments as needed.
