We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Jeffersontown, KY location.

Requirements

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel.
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Strong ability for prioritizing and scheduling multiple projects.
Experience with Microsoft programs.
Ability to read, comprehend, and follow Company procedures and manufacturers guidelines.
Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet in order to transfer tools and equipment.
Ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns.
Ability to work alone as required in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments.
Valid Driver’s license.
Ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
Strong commitment to Personal and Team safety.
Must live within 30 miles of facility.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of a natural gas compressor station and pipeline system to ensure safe, reliable product flow and full regulatory compliance.
Operating the compressor station on a rotating schedule.
Responding to callouts during assigned operating weeks.
Participating in an area-wide on-call rotation for emergency or abnormal operating conditions.
Providing environmental, health, safety, and reliability support for natural gas transmission operations.
Identifying and reporting abnormal or unsafe conditions.
Completing accident and near-miss reporting.
Supporting emergency response efforts.
Performing regulatory compliance activities.
Conducting equipment maintenance and repair.
Executing operations, maintenance, and repair procedures in accordance with DOT regulations, industry standards, manufacturer specifications, and company policies related to facility equipment and appurtenances.
Handling natural gas related to reciprocating / turbine compression equipment, pipeline network in assigned area.
Performing assigned tasks.
Supporting construction activities.
Conducting preventative maintenance and regulated compliance inspections along pipelines such at meter stations, on corrosion control systems, valves, leak surveys and right-of-way areas.
Managing facility encroachment activities such as pipe locates, excavations, and inspections.
Acquiring Operator Qualification (OQ) tasks.
Occasionally assisting at other work locations.
