We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Morgan City, LA office.

Requirements

• Must live within 30 miles of facility.
• Standing/walking
• Climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds
• Bending/stooping/squatting
• Carrying and lifting items 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet
• Exposure to extreme heat and cold temperatures and enclosed spaces
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal communications skills
• Problem solving skills and ability to manage filing system
• History of safe work
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Current Drivers License with clean record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with natural gas pipelines and compressor facilities
• Familiar with DOT 192 Regulations
• College or technical school degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical degree
• Mechanical and/or Electrical industry related training

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily operation and maintenance tasks associated with the compressor station and pipeline system in the Morgan City area.
• Responsible for environmental, health & safety for natural gas transmission through the pipeline system, and compressor station.
• Perform valve inspection and maintenance, tank gauging, pipeline locating, pipeline patrolling, and one call duties.
• Perform all assigned construction duties as well as preventive pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter station, corrosion control, and right of way maintenance.
• Responsible for recognition and reporting of abnormal and safety related operating conditions, accident and near miss reporting, as well as emergency response.
• Responsible for regulatory compliance, operations, maintenance, and repair procedures associated with DOT, industry standards, manufacturer, and company guidelines as they relate to facility equipment and appurtenances.
• Respond to call-outs and be on a call-out rotation related to pipeline activities.
• Complete Core Blocks in Safety, Environmental and Company policies and procedures.
