We are currently looking for an Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician for our Bald knob, AR location.
Requirements
- Must live within 30 miles of the Baldknob, AR Compressor Station.
- Must be self-motivated and have a strong commitment to personal and team safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, rocky and wet environments and ability to stand for long periods of time, and climb stairs and ladders, etc.
- Ability to utilize a PC and manage a filing system.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and no restrictions.
- High School Diploma
Nice To Haves
- 1 to 5 years of gas pipeline operations and maintenance experience or equivalent petrochemical / oil industry experience.
- Natural Gas Compression experience with turbine units
- Associate’s degree in a technical field or a Technical Degree – electrical, controls, HVAC, etc.
- Tech School or College
Responsibilities
- Carrying out daily operations and maintenance tasks to maintain necessary gas flow and meet all regulatory requirements of a Natural Gas Compressor Station and Pipeline.
- Operate the compressor station on a rotating basis.
- Respond to callouts during assigned week of Operating duties and periodically be part of the On-Call rotation for the area and respond to emergency or abnormal situations.
- Perform all assigned construction duties, as well as preventative pipeline maintenance and operations related to meter stations, corrosion control, and right-of-way maintenance.
- Manage facility encroachment activities including pipe location, excavation, and inspection.
- Acquire Operator Qualification tasks and ECP skills necessary for job performance.
- Occasionally assist at other work locations.
