About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Field Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and make advanced repairs at customer locations. The work is carried out with a focus on safety and minimizing equipment downtime. Equipment may include aerial work platforms, general construction tools and equipment, and, at some specialty locations, large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, or oil and gas equipment. The role offers work on a variety of equipment and makes in remote locations, with opportunities to develop service or operations management skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• May need to provide mechanic’s tools of the trade.
• A CDL license may be required in some locations.

Nice To Haves

• Some trade school or equivalent training.
• One to two years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment.
• Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required based on location needs.
