About The Position

Ecolab's Nalco Water division is seeking a Field Technician in Wentzville, MO. This role involves monitoring and maintaining air and water quality systems, specifically within a paint booth at an automotive manufacturing site. The technician will provide customers with problem-solving support, aiming for high customer satisfaction. The position offers an autonomous, hands-on environment with opportunities for technical expertise and smart technology application to drive efficiency, sustainability, and performance.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
Mechanical problem-solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or mechanical experience)
Strong customer service skills; proven ability to interface positively and professionally with the customer
Analyze readings and put data in a spreadsheet in a logical manner
Verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

Experience working independently in an industrial setting
Previous experience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance
Previous experience explaining results of data gatherings

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, and trouble-shoot the facility and its processes in accordance with established procedures
Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Perform daily process application quality analysis using small intricate parts
Provide routine and special application service support to customers
Execute required chemistry tests
Log and report data
Maintain product inventories
Provide technical support to customers
Troubleshoot and maintain systems as needed
Use a fluke meter to check sensitivity
Operate a test stand verifying air and fluid leaks
