About The Position

Protect Environmental is seeking a Field Technician to join their Radon Mitigation team. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining radon mitigation systems, educating customers on equipment usage, troubleshooting field issues, and ensuring work adheres to company standards. The company's mission is to create healthy, safe, clean, and sustainable indoor environments across the United States.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus
  • Mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work
  • Take pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
  • Can work independently and follow established procedures
  • Dependable, organized, and punctual
  • Comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Good physical health and ability to perform hands-on construction work
  • Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
  • Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
  • Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
  • Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of experience in Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and post-installation testing
  • Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and warehouse space
  • Occasionally perform light digging or excavation at job sites
  • Document job details according to company policy
  • Represent Protect Environmental in a professional, customer-focused manner
  • Respond promptly to customer concerns and service needs
