About The Position

Rotork is seeking a Field Technician to install, service, repair, and commission actuators and associated equipment at customer sites. This role involves identifying faults, performing repairs, testing, and commissioning actuators, as well as carrying out mechanical and electrical installations. The technician will also be responsible for conducting site surveys, producing reports, managing expenses, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, the role involves promoting Rotork Site Services and identifying business opportunities.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years' experience with actuators and valves
  • A technical apprenticeship and qualification in electrical engineering
  • Experience in a practical engineering environment, preferably in a field-based role
  • Proficient in using MS office – including outlook, word, excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial valve actuation is preferable

Responsibilities

  • Identify faults, repair, and test/commission actuators in the field and modify/upgrade where needed.
  • Carry out inspections/health checks on Rotork actuators.
  • Carry out mechanical/electrical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaption components, pedestals, and drive shafts.
  • Produce good quality site visit reports for each job in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit all expenses/time sheets on a weekly basis.
  • Carry out detailed site surveys gathering all details required to enable manufacture of adaption components for site installations.
  • Produce/review risk assessments and method statements in line with site requirements.
  • Provide basic set up training to customers if required.
  • Promote the capabilities of Rotork Site Services and identify business opportunities.
  • Complete all health and safety training and documentation requirements as required.
  • Deliver work while complying with Rotork H&S requirements.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and maintained in accordance with the manufacturers service schedule.
