Performs field materials testing and construction inspection services in support of commercial, industrial, transportation, and public infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade I
  • Nuclear Gauge Safety Certification
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Performing in-place density testing, fresh concrete testing, documenting test results, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with project specifications, applicable ASTM/AASHTO standards, and client requirements.
  • Coordinates daily with project managers, contractors, and clients to support construction activities while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Perform nuclear density testing on soil, aggregate base, and asphalt to verify compaction requirements.
  • Conduct ACI Grade I fresh concrete testing, including slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and fabrication of compressive strength cylinders.
  • Prepare accurate field reports and daily documentation using electronic reporting systems.
  • Communicate test results and field observations to project managers, contractors, and clients.
  • Verify testing is performed in accordance with project specifications, ASTM, AASHTO, DOT, and agency requirements.
  • Coordinate daily schedules with dispatch and project management to support multiple active construction projects.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and transport testing equipment in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Identify and communicate non-conforming conditions observed during testing.
  • Maintain current certifications and participate in ongoing technical training.
  • Follow all company safety policies, client safety requirements, and OSHA regulations.
  • Represent the company professionally while providing responsive customer service in the field.
