As our Industrial Dock & Door Field Technician, you will work with warehouse/commercial doors, loading docks, dock levelers and other related warehouse and industrial equipment at customer locations. This includes inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the equipment to ensure the customer equipment is running in peak form and maximizing their uptime. Additionally, you will fix and maintain machines, mechanical equipment, buildings, along with performing some welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work as needed. Every day, picture yourself traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle, performing top-notch work on industrial doors, interacting with customers, and knowing that they can count on you to get the job done right.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience diagnosing and repairing industrial doors or related experience.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatics experience.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Self-motivation and Ability to work under little or no supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to think through complex situations critically.
  • Driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining warehouse/commercial doors, loading docks, dock levelers and other related warehouse and industrial equipment at customer locations.
  • Ensuring customer equipment is running in peak form and maximizing their uptime.
  • Fixing and maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
  • Performing welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work as needed.
  • Traveling the area in a fully loaded Pape’ service vehicle.
  • Interacting with customers.
