Field Technician - Industrial Dock & Door
About The Position
Pape’ Material Handling is seeking a Field Technician to work on industrial dock and door equipment in Wenatchee, Washington. The technician services warehouse and commercial doors, loading docks, dock levelers, and related warehouse and industrial equipment at customer locations. Work includes inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to maximize uptime. The role also involves maintaining and repairing machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings, as well as performing welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work as needed. The technician travels in a company service vehicle, completes work at customer sites, and interacts with customers. Pape’ provides training, mentoring, and ongoing learning opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing industrial doors or related experience.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to think critically through complex situations.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Must provide own tools.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain warehouse and commercial doors, loading docks, dock levelers, and related industrial equipment at customer locations.
- Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
- Perform welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work as needed.
- Travel to customer locations in a Pape’ service vehicle and provide customer service.
