Field Technician - Industrial Dock & Door
About The Position
Pape’ Material Handling, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to service industrial dock and door equipment in Wenatchee, Washington. The technician works at customer locations inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining warehouse and commercial doors, loading docks, dock levelers, and related warehouse and industrial equipment to help maximize uptime. Work may also include maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings, as well as welding, steel fabrication, and electrical tasks as needed. The role involves traveling throughout the service area in a company service vehicle and interacting with customers. Pape’ provides training and mentoring, ongoing learning opportunities, and support for career growth. Compensation is $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing industrial doors, or related experience.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-motivation and ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to think critically through complex situations.
- A driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must provide own tools.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial doors, loading docks, dock levelers, and related warehouse and industrial equipment at customer locations.
- Maintain and repair machines, mechanical equipment, and buildings.
- Perform welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work as needed.
- Travel throughout the service area in a service vehicle to perform customer work.
- Interact with customers and complete work reliably to support equipment uptime.
