Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree and/or trade school preferred
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience
  • Environmental field experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, public works, or a skilled trade such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, construction, or similar fields preferred
  • Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting aptitude
  • Experience driving large trucks/vans, operating heavy equipment, and towing trailers is desirable
  • Ability to regularly carry up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 80 lbs. with or without accommodation
  • Ability to work primarily outdoors with occasional office work
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and First Aid/CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and review of complex engineering projects
  • Develop and implement engineering standards and procedures
  • Lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and engineers
  • Conduct project meetings and coordinate with various stakeholders
  • Oversee the construction and installation of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to standards and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of project details, including as-built drawings and inspection reports
  • Provide expert technical support and recommendations to engineers and project managers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to engineering projects
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to discuss project requirements and progress
