As a Field Technician I, your role places you at the frontline of ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of critical equipment and infrastructure. Your attention to detail and dedication to proper procedure directly supports the protection of people, property, and essential operations. In this dynamic role, you will respond to equipment concerns, physical site issues, and emergency situations. From implementing lockout/tagout procedures to reviewing technical drawings and completing maintenance documentation, you will be a key contributor to smooth operations and workplace safety. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimal directly relevant training and experience.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, be on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.
  • Can perform tasks requiring heavy physical exertion in sometimes extreme weather conditions.
  • Must reside or be willing to relocate within 30 miles of the assigned reporting location.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of Enbridge equipment by following all safety procedures, participating in safety programs, and applying lockout/tagout practices.
  • Address equipment malfunctions, damage, and emergencies to protect life, property, and system integrity.
  • Manage documentation and materials by completing accurate reports, interpreting drawings and as‑builts, and overseeing ordering, receiving, transferring, and inventory of materials.
  • Support maintenance planning by assisting with work plans, providing budget-related input, and recommending spare parts levels to reduce downtime.
  • Contribute positively to team operations by maintaining cooperative working relationships and actively participating in group activities.
  • Performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies, such as Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.
