Field Systems Integration Engineer

Walker Digital Table Systems LLas Vegas, NV
Onsite

About The Position

The Field Systems Integration Engineer owns the on-site systems layer for customer installations and go-lives: server setup, network readiness, software installation and configuration, casino system integration, site pre-flight checks, cutover support, log-based troubleshooting, and post-go-live stabilization. During active deployment periods, expect 50-75% travel, including multi-week site assignments, occasional weekends, and extended on-site shifts. Between deployments, the role supports hardware/software readiness, demo environments, documentation, training, process refinement, and deployment prep. You work with engineering through go-live readiness gates, validate application, container, server, and network health signals, isolate blockers across hardware, software, network, server, client, configuration, and vendor boundaries, and produce clear diagnostic briefs when escalation is needed. When site conditions are non-standard or diagnosis crosses multiple systems, you interface with the Senior Field Systems Integration Engineer for guidance and support.

Requirements

  • 4+ years systems integration or field systems engineering with complex hardware-software integration experience in commercial or regulated environments
  • Hands-on server setup, Linux/command-line operation, network readiness, software installation, configuration, and deployment tooling
  • Containerized Kubernetes deployment troubleshooting across application logs, runtime diagnostics, cluster health signals, and services built with technologies such as Java and Python
  • Able to separate hardware, software, server/client, network, configuration, and vendor issues; produces diagnostic briefs with logs, timestamps, environment details, suspected root cause, business impact, and owner path
  • Comfortable supporting pre-flight checks, cutover readiness, rollback criteria, stabilization, and routine on-site technical issue resolution under go-live pressure
  • Valid passport and internationally mobile for the United States (US), Macau, and Philippines in Year 1; Las Vegas-based or willing to relocate
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, networking, engineering, or a related technical field preferred; equivalent systems integration, IT infrastructure, military technical, or field engineering experience acceptable
  • 4+ years systems integration, field systems engineering, IT infrastructure, or software deployment experience involving complex hardware-software systems
  • Hands-on experience with server setup, Linux/command-line work, network readiness, software installation/configuration, deployment automation, Kubernetes/container troubleshooting, logs, observability, and vendor integration
  • Experience supporting go-live readiness, cutover/rollback checks, production troubleshooting, diagnostic briefs, and customer-site issue resolution
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk or computer station.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds, such as hardware, equipment, or office supplies, with or without assistance.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, such as typing, using office equipment, or operating a computer.
  • Ability to travel locally and/or internationally 10-30% of the time for customer service needs, or site visits, which may involve occasional or frequent lifting and walking.
  • Ability to participate in in-person meetings and presentations, including standing or moving about a room.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment and/or customer site location with varying noise levels and demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior casino floor integration experience with CMS integration, gaming system interfaces, and third-party casino vendors
  • Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), or Macau gaming regulator (DICJ) protocol familiarity
  • Experience in regulated hardware environments where acceptance testing is a formal gate
  • Network configuration in complex casino floor environments: virtual local area networks (VLANs), firewalls, segregated networks, Domain Name System (DNS), Network Time Protocol (NTP), and certificates
  • Relevant certifications in Linux, networking, Kubernetes/container platforms, cloud, security, or automation helpful, not required

Responsibilities

  • Server setup, network readiness, software installation, configuration, casino management system (CMS) integration, and site pre-flight verification on every NA go-live
  • Go-live readiness gates: run acceptance checks, confirm cutover and rollback readiness, and escalate failures with relevant logs, health data, timestamps, reproduction steps, environment details, suspected root cause, business impact, and owner path
  • Resolve routine software, network, server/client, configuration, vendor, and systems integration issues during go-live without unnecessary escalation, while recognizing when rollback, vendor support, or engineering ownership is required
  • Third-party casino system and vendor integration, including CMS interfaces, application programming interfaces (APIs), site-specific network dependencies, and customer-site access, credential, data security, and regulated-environment requirements
  • Hardware/software overlap troubleshooting, demo environment support, site configuration and as-built handoff documentation, and Year 1 international travel for early Asia-Pacific (APAC) go-lives while the Manila field team is being established
