About The Position

The role of the Field Support Technician is to work closely with the Service Desk, Engineering and Management teams on projects by deploying, supporting, and maintaining Information Technology solutions for assets valued in access of $2 million dollars. Also assists with assesses prospective sites, providing input for designs solutions, and supports remote offices and clinical site locations for all areas of information technology for internal and external customers, service providers, hardware vendors and other companies within the industry. In collaboration with the Service Desk Manager, sets priorities and manages time and travel, works independently and in conjunction with other internal and external IT resources, collaborate with vendor technicians and onsite IT-related tasks, troubleshoots problems and develops and implements solutions. Provides proactive recommendations to onsite customers and IT Support management.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or 3 years of experience in handling service desk issues will be considered in lieu of associate’s degree.

  • Intermediate system knowledge including, but not limited to, Service Desk ticketing systems, Citrix, Cameyo, Active Directory, Okta MFA, and Google Workspace.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with client groups and translate technical terms into layman’s terms.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
  • Capable to self-manage and prioritize high volume of tickets in order to assist end users with their technical needs.
  • Demonstrated success is previous environments requiring high level of confidentiality and professional discretion.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with Customer's on-site facilities and technical contacts regarding readiness and delivery issues. Liaison with OEM vendors and field sales support team members.
  • Assist with implementing and supporting clinical systems for radiology by troubleshooting workflow, functionality, and connectivity issues.
  • Provides field engineering project status information by collecting and summarizing all project related information.
  • Coordinates technical resources to manage resolution of complex issues Collaborates with IT department selection and installation of computing and phone systems.
  • Escalates to Informatics Management on issues that impact the entire patient care (MR/PET/CT/CT operation at a given site.
  • Tests new systems to determine compatibility and operational integrity with existing systems. Collaborates on computer configuration, planning and training of personnel in department automated systems. Hands on resource for installation of new hardware on the network.
  • Continually checks for system monitoring and uptime performance on network and clinical systems.
  • Work with engineering and IT management on deployment projects by studying objectives and requirements; assists with generating project tasks lists for deployment ventures involving the company’s Radiology, Oncology, internal infrastructure.
  • Performs other related duties as required including new system migration, the company’s Team Member user training, data conversion, system administration and application set-up.
