About The Position

The Field Support Tech will be responsible for coordinating measure appointments and field issue appointments. This includes gathering information from sales and engineering, scheduling with the provided contact, and preparing necessary paperwork, tools, and transportation. The role also involves performing field support requirements such as photographing equipment, capturing dimensions, noting obstructions, and documenting issues with pictures and descriptions. Additionally, the Field Support Tech will create drawings using captured dimensions, upload all relevant documentation to the job tracker, and inform the Inside Sales Account Manager upon completion of measures. Phone and computer work are essential for coordinating and documenting these tasks.

Requirements

  • Must be able to load, unload and handle a 65 lb. extension ladder
  • Must be able to read a tape measure with precision and accuracy
  • Must be able to carry a 30 lb. tool bag
  • Must be able to talk with customers and coordinate what is needed to fix the issue
  • Demonstrated application of CDI core values.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate measure appointments
  • Communicate and gather required information from the Minneapolis Regional Sales Representatives
  • Schedule the measure with the provided contact
  • Prepare all required paperwork, tools and transportation
  • Coordinate field issue appointments
  • Gather required information from sales and Engineering on best way to fix field issue
  • Schedule with the provided contact
  • Prepare all required paperwork, tools and transportation
  • Perform field support requirements
  • Photographing the RTU in question
  • Capturing all required dimensions
  • Note any obstructions, special features, etc.
  • Document what issue was with pictures and description uploaded to the MER.
  • Document measure and field issues details
  • Create a drawing using the captured dimensions
  • Upload drawing, photographs and other details to the appropriate job tracker
  • Inform the Inside Sales Account Manager that the measure has been completed.
  • Phone and computer work to coordinate and document measures and field work.
