Field Support Homecare Aide (English/Spanish Required)
About The Position
Abcor Home Health is hiring a Field Support Homecare Aide to provide individualized in-home support to clients. The role includes assistance with daily living, transportation, light housekeeping, errands, and documenting services through the company’s home care application. The aide works with clients who may have various conditions and must accommodate pets and smokers. The stated schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The position offers $19.25–$19.75 per hour, mileage and travel-time reimbursement, flexible schedules, paid leave, health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and caregiver referral bonuses. Paid leave is available after a 90-day probation period, with up to 40 hours per 12-month period and carryover of unused hours. Paid sick leave provisions apply only in the City of Chicago.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work with individuals with various conditions and accommodate pets and smokers.
- Available Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- High school diploma or GED, or at least one year of caregiving employment experience.
- Willingness to pass a criminal background check.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Two references.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Access to a reliable car or public transportation.
- Complete 24 hours of pre-service training.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance, and meal preparation.
- Perform light housekeeping as needed.
- Transport and escort clients to medical appointments and social outings as needed.
- Provide personalized services according to each client’s individualized care plan.
- Promote client safety and well-being and promptly report changes in condition to the branch supervisor.
- Complete visits and document daily services through the company’s proprietary home care application.
- Provide receipts and documentation for shopping and errands.
- Complete 12 hours of annual in-service training and attend quarterly conferences with the branch supervisor.
