About The Position

LCRA is looking for a Field Supervisor to lead substation construction activities within the transmission structural group. This role involves building concrete foundations and structures, and erecting steel buildings to the highest and safest quality. The Field Supervisor will be a safety leader, direct technical support for project execution, provide system priorities and operating decisions, give detailed construction status reports to leadership, and travel independently or with a small crew to substations, power plants, and water systems as scheduled.

Requirements

Nine or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical equipment installation, maintenance or repair in a high-voltage environment or transmission line installation, maintenance or repair, including one year of leadership responsibilities.
A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial or mechanical maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
Driver's license

Nice To Haves

Three or more years of leadership experience in a high-voltage environment.
Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

Be the safety leader and establish safety procedures.
Direct and provide technical support for project execution, system priorities, and operating decisions in all situations.
Give detailed reporting of construction status to leadership.
Travel independently or with a small crew to substations, power plants, water systems, as scheduled.
