Gritt is developing physical AI to automate the construction of large-scale infrastructure around the globe. Gritt's systems are already deployed commercially in difficult outdoor environments, and are helping to build critical energy infrastructure. The founding team comprises experts in robotics and AI from Carnegie Mellon, Stanford and MIT. Gritt is a Series A company backed by marquee VCs. We're looking for a Field Software Engineer to be the bridge between our autonomy stack and the real-world job sites where it runs. You'll deploy, tune, and troubleshoot our robots' software directly in the field, working hands-on with perception, planning, and control systems as they encounter the unpredictability of live construction environments. This is a hybrid role: part software engineer, part on-site problem solver. You'll need to be as comfortable debugging a planner in the field under time pressure as you are writing production code back at HQ. Ideally, you have experience deploying robotics software in real-world conditions and enjoy owning a problem from root cause to shipped fix.
