The FSR will provide advanced technical, operational, and training support for the Network On-The-Move (NOTM) Family of Systems (FoS), ensuring commanders and Marines maintain resilient, secure connectivity during exercises, deployments, and real-world missions. FSRs will serve as trusted advisors, trainers, and technical problem solvers – enabling Marines to become self-sufficient in the sustainment of NOTM systems while providing rapid Tier-2 troubleshooting and operational support when required.

Requirements

  • Strong background in network configuration, operation, and troubleshooting across SATCOM-based, expeditionary, and tactical networks.
  • Experience with networking, radios, and satellite communications including system setup, integration, and fault isolation.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting cryptographic equipment and working with EKMS personnel.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and cable routing diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps maintenance processes, structure, and resources.
  • Ability to train Marines in both classroom and field environments.
  • Effective communication skills with senior Marines; must understand rank structure, roles, responsibilities, and USMC protocol.
  • Familiarity with NOTM Technical Data Package (TDP) and Common Hosting Environment tactical applications.
  • Must be eligible for a Common Access Card (CAC) and able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior support to I MEF or other MEF-level C2 systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NOTM GCV and Airborne systems (POP, SVK, TMK, ACV-C, ULTV, HMSAS, and INC 2 kits).
  • Past role supporting tactical command and control systems in deployed or exercise environments.
  • Six (6) years of general experience in expeditionary networking, SATCOM, and C2 systems.
  • Security+ (required baseline), A+, or Network+ certifications.
  • CCNA/CCNP certifications.
  • Experience in tactical vehicle integration, including cable routing and installation.
  • Prior service as a NOTM Operator, Network Administrator, or EMC2 system maintainer.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps Systems Command or equivalent tactical C2 programs.
  • Interpret and analyze complex network diagrams to identify device relationships, data flows, and connectivity requirements, ensuring accurate implementation, troubleshooting, and documentation of network infrastructure.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide fielding, post-fielding, and training support for all NOTM GCV and Airborne platforms at I MEF, including JLTV, ACV-C, ULTV, KC-130J, and MV-22 integrations.
  • Support New Equipment Training (NET) and sustainment training using EMC2 IPT–approved materials; reinforce “Train-the-Trainer” methodology to enable long-term organic sustainment by the units.
  • Perform Tier-2 troubleshooting, LRU fault isolation, and replacement when dispatched via the MCTSSA helpdesk, ensuring all actions are documented in tickets and reports.
  • Provide over-the-shoulder, instructive support to Marines during troubleshooting and sustainment activities.
  • Assist with exercise and test event support, ensuring system readiness, technical operation, and fault isolation during live events.
  • Maintain and update system-level configuration and readiness data for all supported EMC2 systems at I MEF.
  • Interface with unit leadership, trainers, and operators to support integration, training, and sustainment of NOTM systems.
  • Ensure timely response to helpdesk tickets: within 8 hours for standard requests and within 4 hours for mission-critical issues.
  • Serve as the “eyes and ears” for Nakupuna at I MEF by documenting Marine Corps challenges, emerging requirements, and operational trends that may create opportunities for future solutions and services.
  • Provide internal updates on system performance, user feedback, and recurring issues to Nakupuna leadership, enabling proactive responses to client needs and ensuring lessons learned are captured across all MEFs.
  • Identify and communicate potential new growth opportunities (technical enhancements, training gaps, sustainment support) that can shape future proposals, task order expansions, or service innovations.
  • Collect data, success stories, and performance outcomes to support CPARS, monthly program reviews, and Nakupuna corporate communications – highlighting the impact of NOTM systems on mission readiness.
  • Partner with Nakupuna’s engineering, business development, contracts, and communications teams to refine capabilities briefings, deliverables, and internal processes that strengthen our position as a trusted small business supporting the Marine Corps.
  • Actively represent Nakupuna’s values and culture while embedded with the customer, reinforcing our company’s reputation for passion, honesty, teamwork, and impact.
