About The Position

Bowhead seeks a Senior Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide onsite technical, training, and operational support to the Marine Corps Identity Operations Program. The position supports the fielding, testing, training, deployment, and sustainment of the Identity Dominance System–Marine Corps Increment 2 (IDS-MC Inc 2) and the Forensics Dominance System–Marine Corps (FDS-MC). Based in Charleston, South Carolina, the Senior FSR serves as a technical representative to Fleet Marine Force personnel and Government stakeholders. This position requires up to 70% CONUS and OCONUS travel in support of fielding events, military exercises, testing, training, and operational requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, related formal military training, or an equivalent combination of education and directly applicable experience.
  • Seven or more years of relevant experience supporting DoD biometric, forensic exploitation, tactical intelligence, C4ISR, or comparable fielded systems.
  • Hands-on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing, and sustaining integrated hardware and software systems.
  • Experience supporting system fielding, operational sustainment, equipment deployment, or Government test events.
  • Experience developing or delivering military technical instruction, New Equipment Training, or operator and maintainer training.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, and customer-support skills.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve technical problems in field and operational environments.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance and ability to maintain the required clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card, military installation access, and a valid U.S. passport.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including OCONUS and austere or expeditionary assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior service in the U.S. Marine Corps or another branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • Direct experience with IDS-MC, FDS-MC, or comparable biometric and forensic exploitation systems.
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps Systems Command or Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic programs.
  • Knowledge of Marine Corps training standards and instructional development practices.
  • Experience supporting developmental testing, operational testing, system verification, acceptance testing, or user evaluations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and verify IDS-MC Inc 2 and FDS-MC hardware and software.
  • Provide onsite technical and biometric subject matter expertise during system fielding, training, exercises, testing, and sustainment activities.
  • Configure fielding kits against approved baselines and support system verification, equipment upgrades, software updates, and authorized modifications.
  • Document maintenance actions, test results, system deficiencies, corrective actions, and technical recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver New Equipment Training, operator and maintainer instruction, refresher training, and hands-on practical exercises.
  • Develop and update lesson plans, training presentations, user guides, job aids, and other technical documentation.
  • Provide instruction and operational guidance related to biometrics, forensic photography, latent print development, forensic chemistry, Document and Media Exploitation, and IdOps equipment operation.
  • Support developmental, operational, system verification, acceptance, and other Government-directed test events.
  • Collect technical data, document system performance, identify deficiencies, and contribute to test reports and after-action documentation.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel, engineers, logisticians, cybersecurity personnel, and program management to resolve technical issues and improve system readiness.
