Renewance is a vibrant SME that is well poised for an ambitious growth journey in a high growth industry. Renewance is looking for a Manager of Field Services to join our growing team! You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of our Field Services team, including a team of 15-20 Technicians. This role focuses on ensuring seamless execution of commissioning, operations and maintenance (O&M), and decommissioning services for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Project Management, Resource Scheduling teams, leadership and clients. You'll need to have exceptional organizational and communication skills, and demonstrate a practical approach to managing field service operations. This position is an excellent fit for strong people manager that comes from a technical space similar to Renewance's. You need to have a track record of success developing team members through 1:1s, coaching, mentoring, and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Technical or Trade degree, or equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in field service operations, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven ability to manage and support field teams in dynamic environments.
  • Strong understanding of field service workflows, scheduling, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve client issues effectively.
  • Skilled in identifying practical solutions to on-the-ground challenges.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with battery energy storage systems, EV technology, or related fields is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor field service technicians and support staff, ensuring efficient execution of day-to-day activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technicians, providing guidance on technical and operational challenges.
  • Promote a collaborative and solutions-oriented team culture.
  • Manage scheduling, resource allocation, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery of field services.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service response times, task completion rates, and customer satisfaction.
  • Address on-the-ground issues quickly and effectively to minimize disruptions.
  • Serve as the first escalation point for field service-related issues, working with customers to resolve concerns in a timely manner.
  • Build positive relationships with customers by ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Gather and act on customer feedback to improve service processes.
  • Support the execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all service activities.
  • Identify and implement small-scale process improvements to increase team efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with team members to adopt new tools and technologies for field operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Regularly inspect fieldwork to confirm adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on service progress, team performance, and operational challenges.
  • Analyze service data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
