About The Position

The Field Services Intern will support orchard operations, harvest planning, and field research activities through hands-on fieldwork and data collection. This role provides exposure to commercial agriculture by assisting with orchard evaluations, harvest and logistics coordination, field trials, and continuous improvement projects focused on operational efficiency and grower support.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university.
At least one season with Stanislaus Food Products.
At least one or more years of experience in data entry.
Demonstrated ability of attention to detail and following procedures.
Verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in basic math and grammar skills.
Ability to work independently and within the team.
Valid CA Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

40+ WPM and 10 Key at 9000 with at least 95% accuracy.
Familiar with Ignition database.
Ability to work long hours, often outdoors and in the elements.
Ability to travel to and from field locations while striving to maximize driving route efficiency.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while guaranteeing consistency and quality.

Responsibilities

Supporting daily grower harvest planning and load scheduling models to help coordinate field activities and logistics needs.
Evaluating orchards for overall health and production factors, including canopy development, fruit set, irrigation, pests, and disease conditions.
Work closely with the Field Technical Services department on field trials, research projects, and data collection; documenting findings, maintaining organized records, and accurately entering data from multiple sources.
Assisting with key projects focused on improving harvest efficiency and strengthening logistics coordination.
Supporting field mapping and maintaining accurate orchard boundary updates.
Collecting and recording trial data including yield measurements, canopy metrics, and imagery per standardized methods.
Assisting in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal processes.
Driving a company-issued vehicle to orchards, grower locations, and other work sites as needed.
