About The Position

The Field Service Training and Development Manager is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing management of field service and technical training programs for Clean Tech, Inc. This role owns the full training lifecycle — from curriculum architecture and content development to scheduling, delivery logistics, and program evaluation. Working closely with subject matter experts, field service leadership, and FSTs at all levels, this position ensures training programs are current, competency-focused, and aligned with the organizational goals of the Service department.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to audiences at varying skill levels.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in technical training or field service activities.
  • Demonstrated experience or aptitude for developing and managing competency-based training programs.
  • 2+ years of experience with abatement systems, vacuum technology, or other semiconductor equipment strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, or education-related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design, structure, and continuous improvement of all field service training.
  • Develop new training courses and update existing content to reflect current product platforms, procedures, and organizational standards.
  • Define and manage delivery methods for each training component, including instructor-led training, hands-on lab sessions, student-led demonstrations, and self-directed learning.
  • Own and maintain the field service training schedule, coordinating session timing, locations, equipment availability, and participant enrollment.
  • Identify and engage subject matter experts (FSEs, engineers, and vendor specialists) to contribute to or co-facilitate technical content delivery.
  • Develop and maintain all training materials, including course manuals, presentations, assessments, and hands-on evaluation guides.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, participant feedback, and performance data; use results to drive ongoing curriculum improvements.
  • Maintain accurate records of training completions, certification status, and participant progress in support of the field service advancement process.
  • Provide input and recommendations to the FST Progression Plan, including training requirements associated with each advancement level.
  • Own the training center(s) equipment and coordinate the installation or setup of additional training resources as the program grows. Ensure that all training center tools and equipment are in working order for all scheduled training courses.
  • Stay current on product updates, industry developments, and instructional best practices relevant to abatement systems and field service training.
  • Owns all training center equipment, including PV products, tools, and equipment, and ensures that machines are safe, accessible, and are always capable of supporting training classes.
