About The Position

OPEX Corporation is hiring a full-time, onsite Field Service Technician in Warehouse Automation. The technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs material handling equipment, including robotic technology-based equipment, to keep it running in production. The role uses hand tools and calls for mechanical aptitude, a strong electronics background, and some software knowledge. It involves working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and interacting with customers and other personnel.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent hands-on job experience.
• Able to work overtime when required.
• PC competency, including Word, Excel, and Windows OS.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds independently.
• Able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
• Able to maneuver around a job site, including in small spaces in and around equipment.
• Able to lift heavy machine parts while on duty.
• Able to squat, bend, kneel, reach overhead, and reach forward as required.
• Mechanical aptitude, a strong background in electronics, and some software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment to keep it running in production.
• Install and set up new equipment.
• Interact with customers to determine equipment problems.
• Complete field service reports.
• Keep customers informed as repairs are made and answer questions.
• Work with management and other personnel to analyze and correct equipment performance issues.
• Complete and submit weekly online timecards and expense reports.
