About The Position

Bartelt Packaging, a ProMach Company, provides best-in-class solutions for pouching and cartoning systems for various markets including food and confectionery, beverage, home and personal care, pharmaceutical, chemical, and tobacco. The Field Service Technician will travel to repair, maintain, and start-up specified Bartelt Packaging equipment. This role serves as a communication link between the customer and the Company to ensure excellent customer service.

Requirements

Technical, Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years experience in machinery repair.
Successful candidate must possess knowledge/skills of mechanical principles.
Willing to travel extensively within the US and, from time to time, internationally.
Good communication & interpersonal skills and a strong customer service focus.
Proficiency in Windows & MS software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent customer service skills; ability to train customer personnel on equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in flexible packaging material machinery.
PLC programming experience.
Familiarity with PLC/PC systems.

Responsibilities

Installation, integration, repair and troubleshoot flexible machinery of a complex design requiring a high level of technical skill/knowledge and independent problem-solving skills.
Ensure all established inspection, testing, quality and operating specifications are met.
Directs and or oversees customer’s personnel during plant machinery installations and integrations or servicing (repair and/or troubleshooting).
May provide on-site customizing of machine programs by revising programs to meet the customer needs.
Occasionally maintain a 24-hour on-call status and provide customer technical telephone support.
Provide factory floor support when not providing customer field service support/travel.
Provide customer training regarding the operation & service of our machinery.
Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs while in the field.
