About The Position

The Service Technician is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service through the maintenance, and repair of office technology equipment at customer locations. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform accurate repairs, and ensure optimal equipment performance. As a key member of the service team, the technician contributes to overall productivity, maintains assigned tools and resources, and ensures a high level of customer satisfaction through timely and professional service.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move equipment
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching to access and service equipment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while performing service work at customer locations
  • Manual dexterity required to use hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and perform detailed mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Work may be performed in a variety of office and customer environments with varied conditions (e.g., tight spaces, dust, noise)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience servicing office equipment, copiers, printers or similar technology preferred
  • A background in basic networking, electronics or previous experience working with mechanical components are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a full member of our service work group by contributing to the group's productivity
  • Provide excellent customer service by repairing and servicing office technology equipment at a customer's location
  • Troubleshoot equipment to identify the malfunction, then perform mechanical or electrical adjustments
  • Diagnose and repair equipment using product manuals, AC-DC multi-meter, laptop and manufacturer tech support
  • Manage assigned parts, tools, vehicle, laptop and cell phone
  • Setup new equipment and prepare them for installation
  • At times, assist in the delivery, installation, and networking of new equipment
  • Attend training classes provided by our in-house trainer
  • Travel out of state for training if necessary
  • Take responsibility for the satisfaction of the customer by providing timely and courteous service
