Field Service Technician - Level 2
About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment problems, and make repairs safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role may involve working on a variety of equipment makes and models in remote locations, developing skills for a career in service or operations management, and working with a safety-focused team. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made in accordance with applicable laws.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three to five years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-line equipment is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- May need to provide mechanic's tools of the trade.
- CDL license may be required in some locations.
- Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required based on location needs.
