About The Position

The Field Service Engineer role supports the BD Medication Management solutions (MMS) automated dispensing segment, specifically the BD Pyxis brand. This system enhances safety and efficiency in medication management within healthcare facilities. The role requires excellent communication skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a deep understanding of customer and business needs. BD has over a century of experience in patient and healthcare worker safety and medical technologies.

Requirements

24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
Experience with computer electronics, Windows OS, and networking.
CompTIA A+ Certification.
Medical device or electromechanical device service/repair experience.
Customer Support Certification.
Valid driver's license meeting BD's auto safety standards.

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or 3-5 years of combined Hardware/Software/IT experience.
Experience as a hospital pharmacy technician or in a hospital Bio-Med environment.
Prior customer support center experience or training.
Military Bio-Med experience.
Automated Teller Machine (ATM) service experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong mechanical, computer, verbal, written, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support for BD Pyxis automated dispensing systems.
Diagnose, service, and resolve hardware and software issues.
Implement preventive maintenance programs.
Perform installations, repairs, and calibrations.
Provide sales support.
Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventory.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Manage company assets (vehicle, tools, inventory) responsibly.
