About The Position

A Cleveland, Ohio-area manufacturer is hiring an Experienced Field Service Technician responsible for the independent inspection, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial, industrial, and municipal pump systems, electric motors, and controls across the greater Cleveland area.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in plumbing and electrical backgrounds.
Valid Driver's License (Required).
High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Diploma.
Ability to regularly lift 25+ pounds, frequently lift 50+ pounds, and occasionally lift up to 100+ pounds.
Proven ability to work independently without direct supervision and manage client relationships professionally.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair centrifugal, vertical turbine, submersible, HVAC, mixer, prop, and sewage ejector pumps.
Diagnose single/three-phase electrical systems (capacitors, start relays) and program/modify variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Repair pressure-reducing valves and complete full piping and system layouts.
Perform scheduled inspections and recommend system replacements or calibrations.
Supervise on-site workflows, project timelines, and field crews.
Mentor and train junior technicians and helpers to improve overall field competency.
Write detailed diagnostic reports for customers and estimating teams.
Strictly adhere to electrical safety rules and Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) procedures.
Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotating schedule for emergency services.
Maintain company truck, safety gear, specialized tools, and inventory.
