About The Position

The Field Service Technician will support the pre-commissioning, installation, commissioning, yearly equipment maintenance, field operator training and warranty commitments at customer locations across the Rocky Mountains region. The role involves creating a positive customer experience, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Qnergy’s Instrument Air products and remote power generation. Responsibilities include remote field support, system and component testing, writing product and process documentation, leading training sessions, and communicating field-discovered manufacturing and engineering issues. The technician will collaborate with a cross-functional team to find solutions.

Requirements

  • Post Secondary Technical diploma in an engineering discipline (i.e. electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical, etc.).
  • 1+ year of field experience.
  • Experience servicing air compressors, HVAC, and other rotating power equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience implementing safe practices.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and other documents.
  • Exceptional mechanical skills and experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent record keeping abilities.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated and disciplined.
  • Ability to lead and direct training for customers.
  • Organized and able to multi-task in a changing environment without supervision.
  • Professional presence, both online and in-person.
  • Must speak and hear clearly, both in-person and by telephone.
  • Regular use of computers is required.
  • Requires presence in the office or on the job site.

  • Any safety certifications such as First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, Common Safety Orientation, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and WHIMS.
