Field Service Technician - Remote in Central Ohio
About The Position
Reiser is seeking an experienced field service technician to install new industrial scale equipment, provide routine and preventative maintenance and machine repair support to our customers. The ideal candidate is someone who can solve electro-mechanical problems, but also enjoys interacting with customers. The Field Service Technician will install new packaging and processing machinery and perform routine maintenance and on-site repairs. They will troubleshoot and resolve issues by applying expertise in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems. Approximately 80% of the time will be spent traveling to food plants in Ohio and neighboring states to install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on machinery. The technician will also train customers in preventive maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly and effectively and participate as necessary in new projects to install or improve the safety and performance of existing and new equipment.
Requirements
- Five years of experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
- Customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable with 80% overnight travel during the week (Monday-Friday) in the Central USA by automobile or plane
- Strong electro-mechanical skills
