About The Position

We are hiring a Field Service Technician – Sewer Flow Monitoring & Environmental Data Collection to install, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot sewer flow monitoring systems, rainfall monitoring equipment, and related environmental field instrumentation. This hands-on field role supports wastewater infrastructure projects through sewer inspections, data collection, equipment maintenance, confined space operations, and field testing while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project locations.
  • Ability to work safely in outdoor environments and wastewater/sewer systems.
  • Physical and cognitive ability to perform confined space entry and participate in confined space rescue operations.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude; knowledge of electronics is beneficial.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot field monitoring equipment.
  • Ability to accurately document field activities and maintain operational records.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain required company safety certifications, including Level 2 Safety Certification and ADS Core Flow Monitoring training.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sewer flow monitoring systems.
  • Experience installing environmental or rainfall monitoring equipment.
  • Experience performing sewer inspections, smoke testing, dye testing, or flow isolation studies.
  • Familiarity with wastewater collection systems and underground utility infrastructure.
  • Experience operating telemonitoring or remote inspection equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic instrumentation and field troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain sewer flow monitoring equipment and rainfall monitoring systems.
  • Perform flow monitor calibration and verify proper system operation.
  • Collect, review, and validate sewer flow and rainfall data for accuracy.
  • Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain flow monitoring equipment and rainfall gauges.
  • Perform manual and telemonitoring inspections of sewer manholes.
  • Conduct flow isolation studies, smoke testing, dye water flooding, and field site inspections.
  • Maintain accurate, organized field documentation in accordance with company quality procedures.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain company-issued vehicles, tools, and field equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices while working in field environments and confined spaces.
  • Complete required safety certifications, technical training, and flow monitoring training modules.
  • Travel to customer and project sites and work overtime as required.
  • Perform additional field and operational duties as assigned.
