About The Position

Wiese is hiring a Field Service Technician to travel to customer locations to install and repair equipment, including loading dock equipment. The work includes servicing dock levelers, dock shelters, dock seals, dock bumpers, commercial doors, and other equipment. Most work is outdoors, so technicians must be able to work in varying weather conditions. Loading dock equipment experience is a plus. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and a personal drive to learn and improve their skills.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Comfort working at heights up to 40 feet.
• Ability to use a forklift and scissor lift.
• Willingness to work in multiple environments and weather conditions, including outdoors.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize work and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch or crawl in confined areas.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to provide personal hand tools.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn company software to complete online work orders.
• Demonstrable verbal and non-verbal customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on loading dock equipment.
• Welding or fabrication exposure.
• Experience with hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install and repair customer equipment.
• Install and service loading dock equipment, including dock levelers, dock shelters, dock seals, dock bumpers, and commercial doors.
• Perform hazard assessments for each job and maintain safe work practices and quality control.
• Complete online work orders using company software.
