About The Position

Wiese is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer locations to install and repair customer equipment, including loading dock equipment. Work is primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions. Technicians perform service repairs on equipment such as dock levelers, dock shelters, dock seals, dock bumpers, and commercial doors. Some loading dock equipment experience is a plus. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical ability and a personal drive to learn and improve their skills.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet.
• Able to use a forklift and scissor lift.
• Willing to work in multiple environments and weather conditions.
• Strong multitasking and time-management skills; able to prioritize work and self-manage.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and crouch or crawl in confined areas.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to provide own hand tools.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and ability to learn company software to complete online work orders.
• Demonstrable customer service skills, both verbal and non-verbal.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on loading dock equipment.
• Welding or fabrication exposure.
• Experience with hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install and repair equipment.

• Perform hazard assessments for each job and maintain safe work practices and quality control.
• Complete online work orders using company software.
