About The Position

The Solar Field Service Technician is responsible for safe, productive, day-to-day onsite operations at commercial and utility-scale solar photovoltaic plants. The role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to help maximize plant production. Field Service Technician 1 is a foundational role in ACT's ACTivate Technician Track, developing technical skills, safety competency, and familiarity with company culture under senior technicians and Field Leadership. The technician supports maintenance and inspection work on solar modules, trackers, inverters, and medium-voltage equipment while consistently demonstrating safe work behavior. The position may be filled through direct external hire or internal promotion; previous experience in another ACTivate Technician Track position is not required. The listed location is preferred for the primary site assignment, though candidates elsewhere may be considered. Travel to other U.S. sites may be required based on operational and business needs.
